The Trunk
Palm Jumeirah, Dubai
About The Trunk
Central spine of Palm Jumeirah connecting the fronds, lined with Shoreline Apartments and Golden Mile.
The Trunk is the central connecting strip of Palm Jumeirah, running from the mainland gateway at the base of the Palm all the way through to the Crown. It is a high-density, mixed-use corridor compared to the quieter Fronds, with apartment towers, hotels, and a functioning retail and dining scene.
Location & connectivity
The Trunk is accessed directly from Sheikh Zayed Road via Jumeirah via Palm Jumeirah Road, with a dedicated monorail line running its full length connecting to Atlantis at the top and the Gateway station at the base. The Palm Gateway metro station links to the Red Line, putting JLT and Dubai Marina within a 5-min metro ride and DIFC roughly 20 minutes by car. Internal road loops make getting around the Trunk straightforward, though outbound traffic during peak hours can back up at the gateway.
Property mix
The Trunk holds a broad mix of high-rise apartments, serviced residences, and hotel-branded units across a number of towers and clusters.
- •Apartments: Tiara Residences, The Fairmont Residences North & South, Oceana Residences, Shoreline Apartments (1–16), Al Nabat, Al Anbara, Al Hamri
- •Serviced / Hotel-branded: Fairmont The Palm, Five Palm Jumeirah (residential units), Dukes The Palm
- •Penthouses: Available across Tiara and Shoreline tower stacks

Shopping & dining
Nakheel Mall sits at the top of the Trunk and covers everyday retail, a Spinneys, and a cinema. The Golden Mile Galleria at the base of the Trunk provides a smaller strip of cafés, salons, and convenience shopping. Dining options are dense — Nobu at Atlantis, Maiden Shanghai, and a spread of casual-to-fine options within the towers themselves.
Parks & leisure
The Palm boardwalk runs along the eastern and western edges of the Trunk, offering a direct waterfront walking and cycling path. Aquaventure Waterpark and the beaches at Atlantis are at the top of the Palm, roughly a 10-min drive. The FIVE Beach Club and Fairmont beach facilities are also accessible to residents in those towers.
Nearby areas
- •Palm Jumeirah Fronds — the quieter villa side of the Palm
- •Palm Jumeirah Crown — Atlantis, Nakheel Mall, high-end hotels
- •Dubai Marina — 10-min drive west
- •JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence) — 10-min drive
- •JLT (Jumeirah Lake Towers) — 10-min drive via SZR
Things to consider
The Trunk is significantly denser than the Fronds — expect apartment-block living rather than a villa community feel. Traffic at the single Palm gateway can be a real friction point during morning and evening peaks, which buyers should factor into daily commutes.
