About International City
Country-themed apartment community with the lowest entry prices in Dubai — heavy renter focus.
International City is a large-scale, affordable residential development in eastern Dubai, made up of apartment clusters themed after different countries. It is primarily a renter's and budget buyer's market, attracting a diverse, multinational population drawn by some of the lowest per-square-foot prices in Dubai.
Location & connectivity
International City sits off the Dubai–Al Ain Road (E66), close to the intersection with Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311). The nearest metro stations are on the Green Line — Dragon Mart/International City stop is within reach, though most residents rely on buses or private transport. Drive times: roughly 20–25 minutes to DIFC, 10 minutes to Dragon Mart, and 20–25 minutes to Dubai International Airport.
Property mix
The development is almost entirely apartments, organised into named country-themed clusters.
- •Apartments (Clusters): Spain, France, Italy, Morocco, England, Greece, China, Persia, Russia, Emirates, CBD (Central Business District)
- •The CBD sub-cluster includes a mix of retail-podium residential towers
- •Dragon Mart 2 towers and adjacent buildings offer slightly newer stock at the southern edge
Schools
There are no schools located inside International City itself. Nearby options include:
- •Delhi Private School, Al Warqa — approximately 10-min drive, CBSE curriculum
- •GEMS Winchester School, Dubai — approximately 15-min drive, British curriculum
- •Springdales School, Al Muhaisnah — approximately 15-min drive, CBSE curriculum
Healthcare
On-site and nearby medical facilities:
- •Aster Clinic, International City — inside the community
- •NMC Medical Centre, International City — inside the community
- •Rashid Hospital (major public hospital) — approximately 20-min drive
- •Medcare Hospital, Al Safa — approximately 25-min drive
Shopping & dining
Dragon Mart 1 and Dragon Mart 2 are the community's retail anchors — large Chinese wholesale and retail malls a short drive from most clusters. A Carrefour hypermarket sits within Dragon Mart 2 for daily groceries. Dining is mostly independent, budget-friendly restaurants scattered throughout the clusters, with strong South Asian and Middle Eastern options.
Parks & leisure
Green space inside International City is limited; most common areas are paved courtyards between blocks. Mushrif Park, one of Dubai's larger public parks with cycling tracks and BBQ areas, is approximately 10 minutes by car. Dubai Safari Park is also roughly 10–15 minutes away, making it a practical weekend option for families.

Things to consider
Parking and traffic congestion within the clusters can be challenging, particularly in older sections with narrow internal roads. The community is well away from the beach and major employment hubs, so buyers should factor in commute time and the limited public transport links before committing.
