City of Arabia

About City of Arabia

A large-scale mixed-use development in Wadi Al Safa, Dubai, anchored by Mall of Arabia and a planned dinosaur theme park, with affordable apartments and villas targeting families and investors.

City of Arabia is a sprawling master-planned community developed by Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group, located in the Wadi Al Safa corridor between Arabian Ranches and Dubai Sports City. Designed to be largely self-contained, it combines residential sub-clusters with retail, entertainment, and commercial zones — though several components remain under development or incomplete.

Location & connectivity

City of Arabia sits off Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), giving direct access to both Abu Dhabi and central Dubai. The community is approximately a 25-min drive to DIFC, 20 min to Dubai Marina, and 30 min to DXB Airport. There is no metro station directly serving the area; residents rely almost entirely on private vehicles or ride-hailing.

Property mix

Residential options span affordable apartments to townhouses and villas, spread across several sub-clusters within the master plan.

  • Apartments: Remraam (the primary completed residential cluster, featuring Al Thamam and Al Ramth buildings)
  • Townhouses: Warsan Village
  • Villas: Limited villa plots and units within the broader master plan — [VERIFY: specific villa cluster names]

Schools

  • GEMS Metropole School, Motor City — approx. 10-min drive, British curriculum
  • Ranches Primary School, Arabian Ranches — approx. 10-min drive, British curriculum
  • Fairgreen International School, Sustainable City — approx. 12-min drive, IB curriculum
  • [VERIFY: no schools are currently operational within City of Arabia itself]

Healthcare

  • Aster Clinic, Arabian Ranches — approx. 10-min drive
  • Mediclinic Arabian Ranches — approx. 10-min drive
  • Saudi German Hospital, Al Barsha — approx. 20-min drive
  • Aster Hospital, Al Qusais — approx. 25-min drive

Shopping & dining

Mall of Arabia, planned as one of Dubai's largest retail destinations, is the centrepiece of City of Arabia's commercial ambitions — though it remains under development as of the time of writing. Residents currently use Cityland Mall in Al Barari (approx. 10-min drive) and Arabian Center on Mirdif Road (approx. 15-min drive) for everyday retail and dining. The Remraam cluster has ground-floor retail with cafés and a supermarket for day-to-day needs.

Parks & leisure

Dinosaurs theme park (Restless Planet) was announced as a flagship attraction within City of Arabia but has not yet opened; buyers should treat this as a future asset, not a current one. The Remraam sub-community includes communal pools, a gym, and landscaped walkways suited to families. Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club in Arabian Ranches is a 10-min drive for equestrian activities and dining.

Things to consider

Much of City of Arabia's original master plan — including Mall of Arabia and the theme park — remains unrealised after many years, so buyers should not price in future amenities. The area is car-dependent, relatively far from the beach and central business districts, and better suited to buyers prioritising space and affordability over connectivity or lifestyle convenience.

Highlights

  • E311 access to Dubai & Abu Dhabi
  • 25-min drive to DIFC
  • Remraam apartments — affordable entry point
  • Mall of Arabia planned anchor retail
  • Near Arabian Ranches & Motor City
  • GEMS Metropole School ~10 min away
  • Large land parcels & mixed-use zoning
  • Family-oriented, low-density setting
